A calmer way through a squabble

A bad ten minutes doesn’t have to become a bad three days.

Squabble is a private AI companion for navigating tense moments in relationships—helping you cool down, understand your side and choose words the other person can hear.

An early concept for people who want to understand each other and repair well, not win.

The idea

Conflict can make both people harder to hear.

When emotions are hot, what we mean and what another person hears can drift apart. Squabble gives each person private space to slow the moment down, get clearer about what’s theirs, and choose what they want to say next.

Two experiences can be real at the same time.

Squabble isn’t there to hand out a winner and a loser. It helps each person make room for their own experience and consider what might be true for the other person too.

Sometimes both people have something to understand or own. That doesn’t mean the responsibility is always equal. The goal is a more accurate conversation—and a repair that feels real.

How it works

From raw reaction to a clearer next step.

Each person has their own relationship agent, shaped by a short set of personal questions. When a squabble happens, you work with your agent privately and decide what—if anything—you want to share.

01 / Pause

Get it out privately

Say what happened in your own words. Give yourself a moment to cool down before deciding what it means.

02 / Understand

Separate fact from story

Notice what you felt, what you interpreted, what you need, and what part you might own.

03 / Repair

Choose what to share

Find language that sounds like you. Nothing is sent to anyone else unless you choose to share it.

Private by design

Your agent is yours. Your words stay yours.

Squabble is being designed around separate, personalised agents—not one shared inbox. Each person controls what leaves their conversation.

01

Each person builds their own private relationship profile.

02

Other people can’t browse your agent conversations.

03

Nothing is automatically shared between you.

04

You choose what to copy, paste or say in your own words.

05

You can review, edit and delete what your agent remembers about you.

More than conflict clean-up

Repair what happened. Prepare for what’s next.

The first version starts with the moment after tension. Over time, Squabble could also help people spot predictable pressure points in their relationships and make a plan before they arrive.

When it’s already happened

Cool down. Separate what happened from what you feared it meant. Find the part you own and work out what repair could sound like.

Before the pressure point

Look ahead at a tricky event or family week. Talk through likely friction, what support means, and how you’ll stay on the same team.

Game-plan the squabble before it becomes a bigger one.
